Hi, Synarel is a similar drug(it puts you into menopause) however it has way less side effects. I took it for 6 months and loved it. Oh it isn't a shot it's a nose spray. I experienced some mild heat flashes and nose bleeds. And in the first month I had major headaches until the estrogen addback kicked in. The only thing to remember is that from what I have heard it is much more expensive(for you who don't have drug plans) My drug plan covered 100% but it was 375.00 cdn a bottle(which lasts 1 mo) and I could only find a few pharmasies(spelling) in the city who carried it.
