Nawi, I am so very moved by your love and concern for your wife and what she is going through- and really you are going through it too. Maybe you can make her some meals ahead of time and keep them in the fridge/freezer so she doesn't have to worry about that during the day. Make sure she has all of the medicine/pain medication she needs so she doesn't run out. My husband set up a tray next to the bed with water, medicine, tissues, some magazines, the telephone and the television remote- just anything he thought I would need so I didn't have to get up too much. I had my first period on time about 2 weeks after my surgery. If you look through some of these postings and research on endo web sites, you'll see there are alot of treatments doctors use to try to slow endo growth, such as: birth control pills, Lupron and other GnRH inhibitors which essentially turn off the ovaries while you are taking them and are meant to shrink the endo, Danazol is another drug sometimes prescribed (I'm not very familiar with it), anti inflamatory medications to try to lessen the irritation caused by implants and adhesions, and sometimes additional surgeries. There is alot of information on the web and the ladies on this forum are very helpful- I've learned alot from them in the last month. Just try to familiarize yourself with as many of these treatment options as possible before you see her doctor, that way you will be able to ask any questions and voice any concerns you have. Keep up the good work- I can tell you from experience that I am sure your wife appreciates your support more than you know. Good luck to you both. Alyson
