Hi Kim,

I cannot believe you also went to Dr. Moossavi!! Actually, I started going to her in May 2005 for a pap and also for pelvic pain. She was the one who told me it was all in my head. I am from the U.P. and went to CMU for 5 years, but during that time I still would go to the doctors up there, but I needed to establish one down here. She was of absolutely NO HELP to me whatsoever. When I told her I was peeing a lot, like 20+ times a day, she told me, and I quote, "well when you drink a lot of fluid you tend to pee a lot." Then recommended maybe a urologist. She just ignored every symptom I had, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, abnormal periods. The results of my ultrasound came back and she told me I had some cysts, and that she wasn't going to operate and do a lap b/c quote "how would I explain to your family if something happens to you while you are put under that I operated on a perfectly healthy normal 25 year old girl." I thought that was enough to not go to her again, but I went 3 more times. She once had me bring up my file to her secretary, and her diagnosis for me, was "depression," that was the last time I saw her.

I saw Dr. Swirtz once about 4 years ago for an ovarian cyst, and tried to get in about a week ago to see him, but they do not accept my insurance. I cannot believe that they put you on lupron without even doing a lap. My gyno has mentioned it to me and I don't think I will end up taking it because I want to have children as I don't have any yet!!!

My boyfriend is from St. Louis, and I have a lot of friends from Alma and St. Louis, it's a small world!! I am very interested in meeting up with you and the other lady from Weidman, although it is hard for me to find time. I have been working Monday thru Saturday 10 hour days. It's pretty hectic.

So far I have had bad experiences with doctors, except for maybe the new gyno I am seeing, but I've only seen her once so we'll see what happens. I am so glad to have people in this area dealing with the same thing, it's just nice to know I am not alone, as I have felt like I was for the past few months. I was going nuts not knowing what to do or who to turn to b/c the docs were of no help. AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!! So anyways, Email me as you would like so we can talk more about "stuff" LOL. Take care, keep in touch....Amanda
