Re: What are the odds of getting pregnant? From: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Aug 22 13:10:58 2005
I haven't really been able to get a straight answer on this either. It seems to really have more to do with where your endo is (i.e. ovaries and falopian tubes vs. not) and how severe. At least that is what I have found from talking to endo girls who were able to and not able to conceive. I don't know how much endo on the uterus affects pregnancy, my doc seems to dismiss it as not being an issue. I also know from friends that there are alot of things that docs can do to help you (even with the endo) if you aren't having any luck on your own. I know there is no guarantee and unfortunately there is no way to know what will happen until you try. I have to coach myself all the time not to get carried away and not to think the worst before you get there. Easier said than done, I know. I hope your family will be supportive and understanding, this is something that is beyond your control. You are not going to be failing your family if this doesn't work out for you, and you are not going to be a failure as a woman. Just know we are all out here to support you, and good luck. Alyson
