Jennifer, I was incredibly nervouse before my lap. I had never had surgery and didn't know what to expect. The proceedure really is not bad. I had some cramping, was of course very bloated, and had a hard time using my stomach mouscles to sit up. The pain wasn't horrible and I mostly slept for about three days. I know its scary to get an endo diagnosis, especially when there are few clear answers. Try not to get ahead of yourself though and count yourself lucky that you feel comfortable with and trust your doctor. You won't really have a good handle on your situation until after the lap when your doctor is able to see the extent of the disease. Remember, the amount of pain you are experiencing does not necessarily mean the disease is advanced. So as hard as it is, take things day by day and wait to see what your doctor finds before you get worried about all of the scary "possibilities" out there. Good luck. Alyson
