About me, about you...From: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Aug 20 11:00:42 2005
I just "found out" (meaning, was diagnosed) I have endometriosis this past wednesday. I've always had heavy and painful periods, I remember being 15 and passing blood clots the size of baseballs! I'm 19 now and I have a daughter, Keely, who is almost 17 months. The past few months my periods have became more painful, and then the pain kept lasting outside of my periods. Now I have cramps all month, nausea everday, and it really hurts when I ovulate. After my exam wednesday I started my period, which is almost 2 weeks early...and I've never had that happen before. I threw up the first day..and today It's stopped. I've always had clockwork periods, the most they have ever been off is by 2 days, and that's usually in the late range. My laparoscopy is next month, and I'm really nervous. I've never had surgery before. But my ob/gyn is a great doctor, and I trust him. He has a very loew complications rate. I'm hoping we can get this under control soon, since I'm young and still want to have children.
