Re: A good starting point to research Endo?From: Suzanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 18 13:26:09 2005
Try this link http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed to pub med and type in the search bar Endometriosis. Some of the articles wont come up but the majority do and are from the national Medical library where Doc's write papers on all aspects of Endo from research to patient observations. I've gotten a wealth of research at this sight over the years. You want articles on Adhesions type in Endometriosis Adhesions. Laparoscopy in chronic pelvic pain--a prospective clinical study Adhesion prevention in gynecologic surgery. That's some of the articles I pulled up on that search. Check it out Ladies educate yourselves it's made a difference in a major way to me. Want to know if Endo can affect a certain organ type in the organ name and Endometriosis and you'll be shocked at the amount of info these docs actualy have in there hands and half fail to provide to us, or pass off as just related. I've known women with endo to go undiagnosed with such terrible illnessess even Cancers b/c these Docs say O just an aspect of endo and it's up to us as patients to DEMAND tests. If it's negative so what at least you know. Think it's impossible for Endo to turn maliganant think again Ladies it's happening. They are even finding Endo on the brain in autopsies. It's all there if you are willing to take the time to dig. Some of the articles have links to sites from the docs who wrote the articles as well. You wont get this info on Google or Aol search engines or even MSN searches believe me I've devoted thousands of hours sifting junk sights that are at best vague and uninformative. Hope this helps hugs Suz
