Jenn, I highly recommend you by the book "Endometriosis: A Key to Healing through Nutrition."

But, to get you started, here's a small list: 1) Avoid soy. 2) Avoid dairy. 3) Avoid meat. 4) Avoid eggs. 5) Avoid alcohol. 6) Avoid sugar.

What to eat: As much whole food as possible, which means don't eat processed foods. Eat fresh fruits, and vegetables, and if you need to cook them, only lightly steam them so they still have some crunch left. For me, eating a diet of about 70% raw food not only helps with healthy elimination, but vastly reduces my pain. And, it's important you get enough protein in your diet. Without meat and dairy, beans are a great source, and I use a little natural peanut butter too.

Don't buy chips, cookies, pop, or pretty much anything that comes in a box at the grocery store, including frozen convenience foods. I just bought a vegetarian cookbook that has a recipe for homemade granola...mmmmm...I haven't made it yet, but boy does it look fabulous for breakfast. If you want the recipe, let me know.

Jenn, this is just a beginning. Changing your diet is hard to do, but it's important. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to email me privately.
