Go through with Lap??

Well good news, I went in for my colonoscopy this morning and everything looked great! Thankfully, wouldn't want to go through that again. So, according my last Dr.'s visit, it is up to me whether to go through with a lap or not. On my previous visit he did a rectal and vaginal exam where he was sure he felt a nodule that he said was either in my cul de sac or rectalvaginal septum. Thats when we scheduled the colonoscopy and he said if it came back fine then I need to weight my options. He said he believes there is a 95% chance of me having endo. I have dibilitating pain on the 1st, 2nd day of my cycle with painful and frequent BM's but I also have left hip and back pain. I have been through a few months of pysical therapy as well as massage therapy and I am almost convinced that my hip and back pain are related to endo; and this is pain I have about half of the month. So having a lap done and possibly getting rid of the pain as well as knowing if and where I do have endo and knowing if it is in an area that could be affecting my fertility, sounds great. But at the same time, with pain killers I am able to function those 2 days out of my cycle and my hip and back pain do get pretty bad some days but mostly it is not dibilitating. My doctor told me that some patients who have a nodule in the area that I do don't experinece it growing any bigger. Which sounds kinda weird to me but I think I like my obgyn, (he's new to me) he knows I do not want lupron and isn't pressing the issue with me, he takes care of pain meds and makes himself available during appts to answer all of my questions and explains everything to me. Just wanted to get some opinions, is having a lap a good idea even though I don't have dibilitating pain for more than a few days a month? For those of you who have endo in the cul de sac &/or rectalvaginal septum-does it come back pretty quickly have a lap? I know this is a decision I need to make for myself-weigh the pros and cons of surgery-the scar tissue etc. to possibly not having to be on pain meds to function but knowing others experiences will give me much needed info to make a better decision for myself. Thanks for your responses and here's wishing you all pain free days!!!
