Re: Vaginal bleeding after bowel movements

Hi,
I have similar characteristics and I'm really concerned that there might
be something wrong that my doc just isn't picking up on. I'm 43 years
old. My menstraul cycles have gotten closer together and last at least
10 days. For the last 1-1/2 years I have had vaginal bleeding (bright
red blood) about a week prior to my expected cycle only during a bowel
movement. This is definately vaginal blood and not from a hemroid or
fissure. Upon consulting with my doctor he explained that sometimes
when your uterus is full of blood, the constriction due to a bowel
movement causes bleeding. I accepted that. Then I had to go to the
hospital for a suspected appendicitis only to find out it was a cyst
that had burst on my ovary. After consultation with my doc he monitored
other cysts I had on both ovaries with sonograms every other month or
so. Then during my regular pap he found some abnormal cells and had to
have a more thorough scraping. During that the bleeding was so bad that
afterward I had to be packed with gauze and lay in his office for about
45 minutes. He said I had a very fryable cervix. After those test
results, he needed to get more tissue cells because it showed endo cells
and I told him I couldn't go through it again so he suggested a D&C
(with sedation) which I had in November. The doc claimed everything was
OK. He never has diagnosed me with endometriosis. Then after my
regular pap in June he called and said I had to have it repeated in six
months due to the fact there was too much blood (I was on day 3 of my
usual 10 day cycle - not heavy at all)and he couldn't get a good smear.
This month my cycle started three days later than expected (thought I
was pregnant - 2 home tests said no), lasted 10 days and now exactly one
week after ending, I have had bright red blood along with cramping and
low back pain with bowel movements the last two evenings. In the
morning it's a chocolate brown discharge and then nothing by afternoon.
Does anyone think they might know what's going on.
Thanks.
