Re: swelling of the uterusFrom: Tia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jul 27 10:15:55 2005
Leslie, Sounds to me like the endo. Do you feel worse around the time of your period? or is that constant pain? I have also heard that it is was retroverted and inflammed. Retroverted means a little out of shape or turned back. So that means that during intercourse it could be going past the cervix and causing inflammation and irritation. That's what my doctor told me. The endo could also be in the cul-de sac. which doesn't show up on ultrasounds and stuff. That is behind the uterus. So that is a possibility. I would go get checked out again. See a specialist if you think your doc doesn't give you the response you want. This is more than just regular pain and it's affecting your relationship (as it does with mine). These are all things I have suffered through I am 21 years old. I strongly think it's the endo and you should do something about it. I am at a point where I will try anything once to be pain free. Take care and I hope this helps Tia
