Re: CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN

Hi, Jenn. I have been having chronic pelvic pain, too, which my doc and I both thought was endometriosis (I have a history of it). She suggested trying Lupron, but I refused until a lap could be done. Too our surprize, there was no endo, and nothing visibly wrong with my reproductive organs. If I had gone through the Lupron, I would have gone through 6 months of chemically-induced menopause for nothing. I'm 27 and did not want to go through menopause, even temporarily, so young, and I'm glad I waited to do it. Unless you have endo or fibroids, the Lupron won't likely help you. I wouldn't recommend it before a lap, but it also depends on how you feel about that treatment compared to surgery. Your ob/gyn does have quite a series lined up for you, and I know going through all of that can be very stressful. Try to relax, and if you aren't comfortable with what your doctor has suggested, get a second opinion. Good luck to you.

Take care, Valerie
