Treatment SuggestionsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue Jul 26 07:57:35 2005
Hello. I was wondering if anyone has tried a treatment option that I have not yet had, and had success with it. FIrst let me start out by giving you a brief history of what I have tried. After finally getting a diagnosis 5 years ago I have tried what feels like everything, Im hoping someone has a suggestion I have not tried. Ok I started by having the diagnostic surgery, followed by birth control pills. My body does not react well to birth control pills and I have tried about 10 different types trying to find one that would work for me, none did. Next, I tried taking several different pain reliever, none worked. I was then put on the 6 months of Lupron shots. The side effects were horrible and although I was not supposed to have my period during this medically induced menopause I still did. The treatment did not help for very long, as a matter of fact the minor relief I felt from my cramping was replaced with the horrible side effects. After I stopped treatment my pain returned fully. I have also tried diet and excercise, and home/natural remedies such as oils picked up at my local natural foods store. I have just changed doctors and have an appointment in a week. My last doctor suggested that I have another surgery ( a treatment surgery vs a diagnostic surgery). I do not necessarily want to go in for another surgery because my diagnostic surgery did not provide relief although the lesions were burned at the time of diagnosis. Has anyone had success with a treatment surgery after a diagnostic surgery? Does anyone have any treatment options they can suggest that have worked for them? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am so frustrated at this point. Thank you, Melissa
