I think that having a hysterectomy is a personal decision for every woman. But if you are considering this, please keep in mind, that it may not eliminate your endo. I had a complete hyst. 8 months ago, and I have been in pain again for the past 4 months. I'm 33 years old, and no better off than what I was prior to they hyst.. A hyst. will help many women, but it may not. Weigh your options carefully.

Also, when they leave the ovaries in, and only remove the uterus, your ovaries will still produce estrogen, which causes endo implants to grow. My doctor was going to leave on ovary in for me, but had to remove it due to the endo severity. You CAN ask for them to leave your ovaries. If you don't ask, they won't leave them. Ask them.
