Hi there, Was informed on wed of this week that I have AGUS based on PAP and AIS/unable to RO malignancy based on follow up colposcopy. I had a LEEP with conization the following day. Now, unfortunately, my doctor has just left on a 2 week vacation and now that my shock has somewhat worn off, I have questions. I know that glandular involvement is more difficult to detect on standard PAP and it was 3 years since the last one which I'm assuming was normal. The thing is, I've had symptoms (ie postcoital bleeding, heavy serous leakage with heavy periods, low back/sciatic pain) for at least three years that I can recall back to. Another thing that is worrysome to me is that liver hemangeomas were found on ultrasound 3 years ago and never followed up with a biopsy as my GP fluffed it off. My alk phos was also elevated for 2 years although only slightly elevated now. I'm wondering how long it takes for this type of cancer to advance to this "possible" stage and metastis? My GYN knows nothing of these symptoms or the ultrasound and as far as I know only has whatever history my GP gave him as I have never done a workup with my GYN. I just want to be prepared for the fact that this is invasive and has possibly spread to my liver. Is it possibly that it would only take or take as much as three years? Any insight would be helpful...thanks
