Re: Idiot Doctors! How are they in practice?

Hello all,
I am so sorry that so many women go through this. It's truly
incredible. My new doc is awesome, and he seems truly shocked by what
I've been through. I am so relieved to have a competant doctor that I
offered to design his website free of charge as a thank you. I'm still
dealing with endo but at least I'm not dealing with idiot doctors who
belittle me and give me wrong information. To anyone reading this who
has been told, "some women just have pain," don't let doctors get away
with that. Switch docs until you find someone who can take your
situation seriously. It's worth it.
I recently sent a nice little informational packet to my
gastroenterologist who had said I had IBS and that the bowel symptoms
were not related to endo. In my packet I provided him with a photo of
the adhesion on my bowel that caused my flexible sigmoidoscopy to be
excruitiatingly painful. All he could say after that procedure was,
"It's not supposed to hurt. You just have a very sharp curve in your
colon that caused your pain." Right. And a big old endo adhesion. That
was just one example of my idiot doctor experiences.
I understand.
