Re: 2nd time around

Terrya,

I have to be honest and say that the first several hours after surgery was horrid. Maybe it was because I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia, but I was vomitting, and had a hard time remembering to breathe, and i had severe pain. They wouldn't give me anything extra for pain due to my breathing issues. HOWEVER, the day after the surgery - I was up and walking around (a little hunched over). Dr. Delumba had me soak in a bathtub twice within the first 24 hours and I think that helped A LOT (especially with the pulling feeling at my inscision sites). Since I had a lot of work done on my bladder from endo, i was sore for a couple weeks afterwards - especially when my bladder got somewhat full. Here I am now, 3 weeks afterwards and I couldn't be happier. I would do it all over again if I had to. I feel remarkable!!!!! Dr. Delumba TRULY cares about this!! He KNOWS we have pain.. and he KNOWS he has to make it better for us. I just had my first Lupron shot this past Monday - and although I've heard horror stories from it - I've had SEVERAL doctors say that it's the best way to go. I'll just be happy if I can go 6 months without pain!!!

Good Luck to you!! Keep in touch. Kara
