A new type of lap that will fix it all?

I recently revisited my gyno to confirm my lap and he went into detail about a new type of lap. Apparently the regular type uses a white light to highlight the endo but I guess the doctors couldn't see the bits that spread but now some doctors are using a blue light and it shows all the endo, even the smallest bit. He told me that when he uses the blue light my endo won't come back because he'll get it all. He also told me that using the internet as a research tool was useless because it's so far behind the times and there's barely a site that talks about this "blue light." Does this sound crazy or has some one else heard of this? Thanks and best wishes to all Shawna
