advice needed about surgery and pelvic floor physical therapy and other symptoms

Hi all,

Sorry this is long--it is kind of my whole situation all summed up. I am trying to make my final decision about getting a 2nd lap. My first lap showed possible endo (the doc. was not 100% sure) and if it was there it was not very much (of course I know that even a little can cause pain).

I've been having pain with periods since I was a kid, but my pain has now increased and lasts about 3 weeks per month. it's bad that whole time but much worse during my period.

This week I was diagnosed as having painful muscles in my pelvic floor. the exam the doc. gave me was very painful, I was crying from it, etc. He wants me to see a specialist in pelvic floor muscle physical therapy. Has anyone done this before, and did it help you? He said he beleives that 90% of my pain is from my muscles.

For treating the pain I get with my periods, he said to just use the pill, prefereably continously. The problem is I've used the pill for years and although it does help (meaning my pain is less without it) my pain is still unbearable even on the pill. Also, I cannot take higher dose pills because of the side effects and on the low dose, I've gotten breakthrough bleeding, which ends up giving me the same pain as when I have my period. anyway he said he did not want to do a surhgery because either way he would still treat me with the same things (therapy and bc pill) whether or not I had endo. But won't surgery possibly remove endo. and reduce my pain?? He said the endo will come back, but I don't think that is soemthing that is 100% agreed upon by doctors right?

What about removing the uturus--if perhaps I have adenomyosis? Is it true that if you leave your ovaries, you will not need hormone replacement, but you won't get your period? So do you go through menopausal symptoms after removing just the uturus?

Also, I wonder if surgery will affect my already messed up mucles even more? It was scary how painful they were when he touched them during the exam.

Also, lately I've been throwing up alot during the painful part of my cycle. I don't if it is form the pain or pain pills or both. Have others had this expereince has anyone had luck with seeing a gastroenterologist for this problem? ( I haven't).

Also, I have a lot of PMS symptoms like bad bloating, sore breatss, fatigue, hunger pangs, etc. Has anyone found any relief for these?

Okay so to sum up I'm trying to just get advice about: *should I get another lap.? *what are the advantages/disadvantages of getting just the uturus out? *has anyone tried the pelvic floor physical therapy? how was it? *has anyone had problems with vomiting? were you able to resolve it? how? *has anyone found ways to releive PMS sympomts?

thank you everyone for any advice you can give me or expereionces you can share! m
