To anyone who can help, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo a year ago next month at the age of 19. I had a laparotomy and they removed two 9 cm cyst and about half of each ovary(due to dead ovarian tissue). In addition because my cysts were so large they had contorted my fallopian tube which required surgical repair. I was then prescribed Lupron for six months. Due to the fact that my job didnt offer insurance and I had a large bill for the surgery I had to stop everything and was unable to get any treatments or check ups. I recently received insurance and settled all of my surgery stuff from last year. I have been having the same pain and I finally was able to go to the doctor. She sent me to get an ultrasound and then I just found out I have two more endometriomas and they measure a 7 cm each which is slightly smaller so I guess thats a good thing. My problem is I am 20 years old my fertility was questionable a year ago and I was told if I ever desired to become pregnant I would need to see a fertility specialist. I am now engaged and work full time and have an apartment with my fiancee'. My Gyn appoinment is in a week and a half and they willl decide what type of surgery I need to remove my endo and my current cysts. My concern is because I will have even more scar tissue and I am afraid I will never have a baby. Would it be wrong of me to try to conceive after my upcoming surgery? I know that mentally and emotionally I can handle a child and my family and fiancee are really supportive and they would help out emotionally and financially. I am just afraid people would think I am too young to have a baby and inside of me I kind of agree with that. I dont think you should have kids untill you have a house, college, and everything else. I just dont want to keep putting it off until I am 25 or 30 years old and it be too late. I am scared it isnt even possible for me to conceive now and my fiancee who is 23 years old deserves children as well as I do. Is there ever a perfect time to have a child? If anyone can give me some of their advice I would appreciate it. Thank you, Dia
