Re: how long is a lap supposed to take?From: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Jul 11 15:48:03 2005
Carrie, first of all, you are not alone. I had my first lap back in March. It lasted about 45 minutes. The doc. came out and told my husband "it's mild endo in the cul-de-sac and sacral ligament, we'll try lupron therapy.” My doc did nothing to remove the endo; in fact, at my post-op follow-up appt. he stated "I can't find anything wrong with you." Needless to say, I am still having symptoms and the only thing that I've accomplished is a diagnosis. So, long story short there is no correlation to the amount of endo and the amount of pain. If you feel like your doctor is not listening to you I would advise finding a new one. Try to find a reproductive endocrinologist. If you need info on getting insurance to pay for this please let me know as I've been researching like crazy...Best wishes At Mon, 11 Jul 2005, Carrie wrote: > >I started seeing my OB in december for what I thought was a pelvic >infection and the accompanying pain. > >He put me on antibiotics and they did not work.
