Re: how long is a lap supposed to take?

I just had a lap done Thursday. I was in for about an hour and a half. Before my doc went in we discussed EXACTLY what was going to be done. He was doing a LUNA and he was going to look around at everything. He checked every side of every organ. He excised an endo that was found. I have been told repeatedly and especially after having this procedure done that it makes NO difference how much endo is in there. There is no correlation between the amount and the pain.

If you aren't getting the answers that you need and most of all if you don't trust your doctor, get a new one. It has taken me a while to find this doctor and while I am still waiting to see how I'll feel after I heal from the surgery, I trust that he looked around and did what needed to be done.

As a side note, he found pocket of endo that had been there a while that the two other docs who did my other two laps missed.

Take care, Erica
