For any of you out there who can relate to or help me with my endometriosis I would be very grateful. After several years of pain, multiple physicians, and tests I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2001 which is when I had my first lap. Eight months later I had another lap and more endometriosis was removed. Since then I have been battling what is almost daily pain with little or no help. Over the last few years as I have become more aware of my body I have realized that the worst of my pain comes twice a month during ovulation and before and during my period. Because I am sometimes incapacitated twice a month I have been fired for missing work from the last two jobs I have had. I am unable to afford insurance and therefore cannot receive the medical help that I need. I have undergone almost every test possible from a Colonoskopy to a Barium Enema to Cat Scan’s & MRI’s. Some days I feel as though I am at the end of my rope and I don’t know how I am ever going to be able to have a normal life with a normal job or even if I’ll be able to have kids one day. Also, I have been unable to locate an endo specialist in my area due to the fact that when you call gyn’s they ALL say they are “endo specialists” which is by far misleading. I have also had many problems during my lifetime with IBS, Environmental Allergies, and to a degree migraines. I have read that these things have been linked with endometriosis and was wondering if any of you knew more about this? Also, I live in the Seattle area and if anyone knows of an excellent endo specialist in the area I would be very grateful.
