I had the lapro. surgery in January, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since then. I have taken Femara three months in a row.......but only for five days each month...(I don't know what the dosage would be for a non-fertility patient)Apparently it enhances egg production. I didn't have any side effects other than tiredness (not excessive or anything), and diarrea (only for the first day though). My Dr. told me that Femara is usually used for breast cancer patients, but because it slows tumour growth, it's used for Endo. patients as well. So after three months, I'm not pregnant, and my Endo. seems to be getting worse. I haven't seen any improvement in the amount of pain I experience since the lapro. surgery though. Lately my pain seems to be getting more intense, and I think it's starting to happen all the time, not just during my period. So I don't know if the Femara has helped me or not! I think that if it was helping the Endo., that my pain would be improving.........but i've also been told that more or less growths doesn't mean more or less pain.......so who knows!?
