Re: Frightened about surgery

Hi, Erica. I'm in a similar position, although this is only my second surgery and 5 years after my 1st. I also asked for this to be done, and I've been rather scared of this surgery. I'm afraid that the doctor won't find anything, or if she does it will be something other than endo. In the back of my mind, I know I'm doing the right thing, but I'm still freaking out. On top of that, my doctor is out on maternity leave and I am therefore having the surgery with one of her colleagues. I still trust the doctor, though. I'm scheduled for July 13 and have been living with this dread since the middle of May (took a month to get the consult, then another month to schedule the surgery). I've practically gone nuts over it! I'm glad I'm not the only one going through this! Feel free to contact me if you want to chat further.

Sorry, but I still have both ovaries, so I have no experience getting pregnant on one. Good luck to you.

Take care, Valerie
