RE: hot flashes/night sweats, irritability, low sex drive
How old are you? If you're 35 or older than this COULD be normal
hormonal changes of PREmenopause and if so should take care of itself
over a couple of months. If it doesn't or you are under 35 then it
could be premature menopause symptoms (there's a more scientific medical
term but I can't think of it right now - somebody else will probably
come up with it) Either way, you can have your hormone levels checked to
see. More likely it is your endocrine system trying to adjust to all
that is going on. Black Cohosh is supposed to ease these types of
symtpoms. To try to combat the discomfort, try to stay cool, try to
reduce your stress, make sure you're eating right and drinking enough
water and getting enough exercise.
RE: Hyperalgesia
Could indeed be a PARTIAL explanation of what's going on. It can happen
when you've got inflammation, etc. The body's natural reaction gone a
little hyperactive so to speak. HOWEVER, to just dismiss everything
with that diagnosis is not really justified because your endo has been
confirmed and you have undergone prior treatments for it. Either way,
it can be treated as well. Have you considered seeing a pain management
specialist? Even if in addition to the endo you have developed
hyperalgesia, it doesn't mean the pain isn't real and it certainly
doesn't mean it can't be treated, it just needs to be treated a little
differently.
Good luck!!
