Could be adhesions - particularly since it is cyclical, the adhesions
could be pulling with the bloating and inflammation that sometimes comes
close to your cycle. Try to make sure you get a little extra fibre and
water in your diet during those two weeks and avoid salts and foods that
cause gas (cabbages, etc.) and see if that helps. Probably won't make
it pain-free but should make it easier to bear.
