Laura, it is possible to get pregnant. However, I highly suggest that you see a doctor. If you cannot afford health insurance, you may be eligible for government assistance (Medicaid) if you live in the States. If you can afford it, Blue Cross offers benefits at an affordable rate (I looked into it before, and it was $250/month for family coverage; should be much less for individual). It's not great insurance, but it's better than paying out of pocket if you see the doctor much or need surgery.

I have been through the same symptoms you describe. I'm going in for a laparoscopy (my 2nd, 1st was 5 years ago) to try to get rid of it, after other methods have failed to ease the pain. I am then going to try to conceive again. My doctor and I have a very good relationship, and I can't imagine going through any of this without her. I wish you the best of luck.
