Re: CA-125 test and symptomsFrom: Beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jun 27 10:06:11 2005
I just truly believe in the CA125. I know of many women who, if they could have had it done earlier, they would have caught the cancer earlier. It is like men having the PSA done. I hope you can get a diagnosis- I am trying doctor #5 this afternoon. I am reaching the breaking point on pain. I cannot eat any longer. I can barely sleep. The pain either keeps me from sleeping or wakes me up and then I cannot sleep any longer. I am nauseous all the time. I recently started with the bloating and I just cannot tolerate this anymore. I can't say I know exactly what you are going through, because I don't think anyone knows what we each go through exactly, but I can relate to the pain and the bloating and the frustration. Just hang in there and keep fighting the doctors. That is all we can do until we get the help that we know we need and deserve. Keep fighting them on the ascites- ruptured ovarian cysts do not cause ascites that severe. The fluid is reabsorbed by the body- it does not linger and cause bloating. Ascites is not normal.
