Vicki from VA-- I am really suprised that they have put you on estrogen with endo. This is what feeds it. Even after a hysto. they keep you off the hormones for 3-12 months. The weight gain can come from the perimenopause also. The estrogen does that, yuck we get the weight in the middle too. I would not rule out the IBS, the constipation is a part of that as well as bloating, I'va had IBS since the mid 80's it comes and goes, more problems during stressfull periods. Like when the endo is very bad. It is good that you are seeing both Dr.s soon. I recommend the book by Dr. John Lee "what your dr. may not tell you about menopause" great info on hormonal balancing. I've been reading so much because I am considering a hysto. because of multiple problems and with it I have to have overies removed, so I will be put into immediate meno. I needed to know what to expect. His book was the best by far. All of my hormones are somewhat on the low side. I am also on the nat. progest. cream. I feel like it has helped with my hot flashes and reduced my night sweats and the endo. I was wondering if the the swelling from the cream is due to an allergy in the base that the hormone is in, maybe soy or aloe? Just a thought. Best wishes. Bev
