I had the same symptoms: the heaviness and pressure low in the pelvis, frequent periods, frequent shooting pains in the pelvis, but most of all, painful intercourse. I didn't start having these symptoms until I had my son in 2000. I was on the Depo shot for 9 months, and it took another 11 months till I got my period back. When it came back it was with a vengeance. I'd always had horribly painful periods, but this was different. I first went to my family practice doc, and he basically said I was imagining the frequent periods and pain. Finally I was referred to a fertility specialist; I cannot have anymore children but fertility specialists are many times experts in endo because it is a major cause of infertility. Maybe you could find a doc who would refer you to a fertility specialist; I know my insurance wouldn't pay without a referral. Good luck to you and I hope you get some relief...don't give up until you do. It took me thirteen years to get answers. Good luck and write anytime!
