I saw my gyn today and he speciallizes quite a bit in endo. It hasn't been very long since my lapr. (~3mos) so I thought I was having so much back and leg pain b/c of that. He said it is probably my bowels. He said that he rarely sees a women with endo without some degree of problems with bowels. He said that the bowel problems rarely resolve even after the endo is cleaned up because the bowels are much different from a nervous system standpoint. They have more of a memory. He said that when the pain is starting more in the back or butt it's probably more related to the bowels- especially on the left but sometimes on the right side too. I'm still thinking about it--- I trust him--- he said about 95% of women-- even those with a hysterectomy. I've never thought I have bowel problems but I guess I have been getting more sick with meals and just going to the bathroom a lot more. He said that it can make the muscles spasm so much that the pelvis hurts too and the sciatica can get pinched. Hmmmm..... Anna
