Re: So much pain

My situation right now is sort of similar. I haven't been diagnosed for Endo for very long. My first lap was 3 months ago. I had a pretty mild case but severe pain. I haven't been able to start the continuous birth control because of some other problems but now I am. Well last week the pain came back. It really caught me off guard. My pain is all through my butt and some in my groin--- maybe I need to just let the BC work. It is constant--- even when I don't get my period. I am in physical therapy right now so he has been working on releasing some of the external hip rotator muscles such as my gluets and piriformis in my butt. I have an appt. with my gyn on Thursday and I don't know what he will say. It seems way too soon for it to be back but I really want to know if it is... but I'm not ready for another lap. I guess I'd be okay if he said let's do the lap because then I could just know. It may be adhesions? I can hardly sit most days (at least this week). Sitting through the entire church service is not an option. I cannot lay without constantly rotating positions. One thing that has helped me is to lay on top of an exercise ball. I think it is similar to distraction and stretches out some of those deep muscles that are likely in spasm for endo or a cyst. Muscle relaxants in addition to pain meds seem to give me some relief and especially heat. I bought some of those thermacare heat wraps. They are wonderful because than I am not tied to the heating pad. Let me know what you decide and email me privately anytime. This is all new to me but I'm learning that as strange as it seems to have pain in your butt from endo... it is possible and not so uncommon.... and it HURTS!! Take care, Anna
