hip/butt pain

Hi--- I am new to the forums. I have been home today because of severe pain so I am just searching for information. I was diagnosed with endo 2 months ago via a lap. I am 24. I have always had irregular periods and been on and off birth control for that. I have a lot of problems with my feet so in November I started seeing a physical therapist. At about that time I stopped birth control. I started having some hip pain so the PT had me start doing some exercises for my gluets. This made the pain much worse. I started having more and more pain in my entire abdomen so then I really pursued an expert in endo.

During the laproscopy nodules were removed with a laser on one side near the ligaments in my uterus and on the other side an endo cyst was removed from my ovary. It was stage 1 luckily.

The doctor also thinks I have polycystic ovary syndrome so before I went on meds for the endo he wanted to get some blood tests. The tests were supposed to be done the 3rd day of my period. The problem is I haven't gotten it. So he finally went ahead and got the tests done without my period and I will start the patch this sunday. Unfortunately it's been 2 months since the endo was removed without any meds. I am worried it's back... I hardly went a month without pain.

The physical therapist started me back on some core strengthening exercises that will hopefully help my feet too. But this really flared up my pain again.

The pain is in my right butt cheeck mainly. It is really tender. The PT thinks it's my piriformis muscle. The pain radiates to my lower back and somewhat down my leg. It also hurts a lot in the front of my hip near my groin. I cannot tell if my ovary hurts.

Is this a common place for pain associated with endo. The PT and me are having a hard time knowing what's gluet/core muscle weakness and what is related to endo. It just seems to soon for this to all be coming back.

What should the physical therapist do? I need to strengthen those muscles but it seems like the endo makes those muscles spasm or something.

I could use any wisdom. It is all so confusing. Is it worth doing ultrasound and stretching in PT if it's all related to the endo? Could the endo have caused my muscle weakness?

Thanks,
Anna
