can endo cause rectal pressure/discomfort?From: Joyce (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jun 2 13:14:59 2005
Hello, I was diagnosed with severe adhesions caused by endo last year during a lap. I was told at that time that my uterus was stuck to my bowels and my surgeon said that he couldn't get it all during my lap. A year later (just about 4 weeks ago) I started having a strange symptom that I'd never felt before. I felt a pressure/discomfort in my rectum. It was quite intense for about 6-7 days and has since eased off somewhat. It alternates between a pressure, ache and burning sensation. I've had a sigmoidoscopy and was told that there nothing abnormal in my rectum or bowel. My doctor and gynecologist both think this is my endo, but the symptoms just seem so strange to me. They are completely unrelated to my menstruation. In fact, I first started feeling this sensation after my period ended! Has anyone else heard of this??
