Re: EndometriosisFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jun 1 08:13:41 2005
Before I definitely knew I had endo, the symptoms started as severe periods, pain during ovulation, skipped periods while on birth control, pain during sex and bowel movements. I have been officially diagnosed for 10 years now and my symptoms are definitely much worse to include: extreme fatigue, spotting and bleeding during and after sex, spotting vaginally during bowel movements, sharp, constant pain in my ovary area, bloating, nausea. Riding in a car for a long time or sitting for long periods, as well as exercise or outside yard work often cause me to bleed and spot. Have lots of pain on my right side that tends to radiate into my lower back and legs. Symptoms for everyone can be very different so you may not have the same things I do, and some of these symptoms can be caused by things other than endo. To find out for sure if you have it, you will need a laparascopy. I suggest making an appointment with your Doc to discuss how you are feeling and go from there. If you google the word endometriosis, you will get lots of hits and find lots of sites besides this one with great info. Good luck and hang in there! Hugs! Amy
