Well it took me 5 yrs to get pregnant but I did In vitro fertilization and now have a 2 month old son. don't listen you your dr. Some women with endo get pregnant easily...others have to go through fertility treatments like me...but in the end you need to know it very possible. Next, having a hysterectomy does not mean your endo will be gone. A lot of women you have had them have their endo return. Especially if taking HRT which contains estrogen and causes endo to return. I don't know how young you are but have a hysterectomy as a last resort. Have you had a lap to clean out endo? This usually relieves pain from anywhere from 6 months to a couple years.
Good luck to you.
