Re: Need advice...pleaseFrom: Shannon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon May 30 18:15:30 2005
Lis- Your doctor should have given you a lot more than 3 days worth of pain medications!!! I just had 8 surgeries to remove the endo. and 6 feet of my intestines were removed. I was given a whole bunch of pain meds. You need to call your doctor's office and have him paged if you are hurting really bad. Ibuprofen is not enough for everything you had done. Have you tried a heating pad for your stomach? Try your best to stay off of your feet too! You need to take things slow. You are going to be in a lot of pain and you are going to be sore for a long time. They did a hysterectomy on you and the other surgeries. It is going to take you a while before you are able to not be in so much pain. Your doctor was crazy to tell you otherwise. It has been 2 weeks since my surgeries and I still have problems walking around. I have to stop a lot and breathe and relax. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. You need to contact your doctor. If your doctor won't give you something stronger for your pain then you did to go to the ER and then find a different doctor. I hope this helps some. Shannon
