Hi Judie,

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time. Many of those who have had endo have also been misdiagnosed at one time or another. I was misdiagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome; however endo can cause bowel problem too.

My concern is that you have lost 10 pounds in two weeks. Aren't your doctors concerned about this? Are your symptoms at all cyclical? Do you keep a calender with your symptoms written down? If you don't, starting one would be a really good idea. That way you can show patterns.

Granted right now, you have a more urgent issue because you can't go on like you are. Have you had a transvaginal ultrasound? Those are better at showing cysts on the ovaries. It won't show endo. Have you had a laparscopy? (Sounds like this is really what you need to see if you have endo)I hope you can get in to see a new doc that can help you.

In the meantime, since you are having trouble eating, you need to maximize your nutritional intake. I would suggest if you are able to drink them is try something like Boost or BoostPlus or Ensure or Ensure Plus. Sip them and if you can't drink the whole thing at once, put it back in the frig. If you can tolerate milk, there is also Carnation Instant breakfast. You can add dry milk to the liquid mix to it to add calories and protein. Are you getting enough water to drink?

Are you vomiting or having diarrhea or loose stools with some formed? It could be you have a bowel obstruction. Did they do a lower GI study on you? That would probably tell if you had an obstruction.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any question.

Best wishes, D.N.
