Re: Pregnancy after LupronFrom: holly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 27 19:43:36 2005
i wasn't able to conceive after lupron even with lots of infertility procedures. but i also wasnt' able to conceive before lupron. you have a pretty good shot since you've conceived already. that's a huge plus for you. i do have a friend who did ivf after lupron (had to do it because of severe male factor), and it worked on the first try. lupron will not increase your fertility. but if it clears up all the stuff in there, you have a good chance. just make sure it's completely out of your system. it can take a few months to get out and for you to get your periods back. wishing you lots of luck. but remember, your body did it once before, so you've got a great chance it will do it again. the best thing to do is once you get your period back, do ovulation predictor kits. they will tell you when you get the lh surge, which triggers ovulation. and call your dr and ask for a progesterone test to be done 8 days after a positive on the ovulation stick. a progesterone number above 10 indicates you ovulated. it will not indicate if you're pregnant though. even if it's really high, it might just mean more than one egg ovulated. again, lots of luck to you. sorry for the book, here, but i hope it helps a little bit. ~holly mild endo and IC
