Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing ok. I just flew back from California today. What a long flight. I have the 2 most precious doctors in this world!! Dr. Cook is everything he is bragged about and more! Dr. Brown is a mighty saint as well! Dr. Cook found and removed a bunch of endometriosis, removed a hernia, detached my large intestine from my pelvic wall, did my leep procedure, and my rectocele surgery. He found that I have PCOS and is going to give me hormones to deal with the constant cysts my ovaries are producing. He also found that I have low insulin resistantance. There were a bunch of (what looks to be a black beaded neckalace) around my right ovary. The right ovary is not producing my insulin properly at all. I also have Pelvic Floor disease and through physical therapy and the proper medications I should be just fine. Dr. Brown, who is the "GOD" of GI doctors and surgeons, removed 6 feet of my large intestines. He said that he has rarely seen cases like mine where my intestines are just so messed up and don't work. I have had a lot of pain b/c I had all my surgeries done in one day, but I can finally go to the b/r now for the first time normal, EVER!!! I owe them my life. Everyone in the hospital was so sweet and helpful and took such great care of me! I was there for a week and a 1/2. Both Dr. Cook and Dr. Brown call me every day to check on me. They saved my life b/c I was about to give up. I have 3 incision marks from Dr. Cook's surgeries and one huge one that goes from hip to hip for the bowel resection. They are healing ok. I am horribly sore. I have a lot of pain meds. though...I feel like a pharmacy. It is going to take a lot of time, but once I am healed I will be like brand new. I also quit smoking. I hope that every single one of you that have helped me know that you are truly angels in this world! You kept me going and I still need all the support I can get until I recover too. I will always be here for all of you in any and every way possible. Thank you all. :O) Shannon
