Lower back/leg pain--shortness of breath?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat May 21 18:01:25 2005
I have most of the symptoms of endo for years but haven't had a lap in 20 years. I've been having the 'normal endo' symptoms during my periods but last week at the end of my period it felt like something happened (unless it's just a build up). My back suddenly started hurting (felt like a pinched nerve--it would take your breath away if you moved the wrong way) & also had a throbbing on my lower right pelvic area. A few days later everything feels numb & burning--my bladder to my rectal area. In particular my rear is numb & feels like something is pushing on it. I've had a bunch of test, Ct Scan, Ultrasound, blood tests & they are all negative. Today, I had to go to ER because I couldn't breath. It felt like I was underwater & couldn't get any air. I had these symptoms a few years ago (no back/leg pain or shortness of breath though) in addition to massive bowel problems (colonscopy showed a compression on my bowel & difficulty getting the scope through). When I went to my OB/GYN, he said the tests were worthless. I had a baby shortly after that & the problems went away. Now they are back & I'm really worried about my back & leg pains & my shortness of breath scared me to death (they looked for a blockage in my lungs & sent me home). Has anyone had shortness of breath caused by endo? Thanks for any help, Judie
