2 Questions....Need advice

First question: Is it possible to ovulate twice in a month? I had my normal, pinching ovulation pains approx. 2 weeks ago. I've been cramping and having my usual aches & pains for 9 or 10 days straight. Yesterday, I went to stand up from my chair, and got a stabbing pain on my right side about where my ovary is. It subsided, but several times yesterday & today it will hurt if I move the wrong way. Other than that, it doesn't hurt. It feels alot like I'm ovulating, but the pain that I have when it happens hurts more than normal. I should start my period Sunday, but have no signs of it coming on time (tender breasts, etc.). Second question: Can you have pain/cramps with follicular cysts? My ultrasound approx. 6 weeks ago showed that I had several follicular cysts. The ultrasound was done around the time I should have been ovulating. My gyno did not seem concerned about the cysts, but I have read that these cysts should not cause pain. They are a normal part of a cycle and usually go away within a few weeks. I am just curious if these cysts (especially more than one) can be one of the causes of my pain. The only time that I begin hurting is immediately following ovulation. The 1st 2 weeks of my cycle I feel fine. I appreciate any advice/input! Thank you....
