None of you, not a single one of you, is nuts. The reason why you notice GI symptoms in the 2nd half of your cycle is really quite simple when you think of it in anatomical terms... You've got a uterus slightly enlarged and crampy, plus the normal bloating and crampiness that comes just because and then the hormonal surges and drop-offs and all of this is trying to occupy a space that is littered with endometriosis implants and adhesions and what have you and then you add to that mix foods that are slightly irritating to even a "normal" bowel system and bingo-bango-bongo diarrhea, constipation, nausea, cramps, bloating, gas... the fun begins!

Just try to lighten up the foods you eat, experiment a little with your seasonings and always add an extra serving of water and fibre and you should find the symptoms ease off a bit each month.

For those of you facing surgery - try a nice "just getting over the stomach flu" type diet of easily digested foods with lots of protein and whole grain carbs to balance with veggies.

good luck!
