I'm also having a D&C done next Wednesday along with a hysteroscopy, laporoscopy and endometrial ablation. My dr suspects either fibroids or adenomyosis because of heavy bleeding & irregular periods. I've noticed that I start having problems with my bowels around the time I ovulate until I start my period. I have asked the same question before and it seems that alot of women have the same problem. Yes, I believe that there is a connection between GI problems and adeno & endometriosis. It's during this time of my cycle that I really have to watch what I eat and keep Tum's handy. Dairy products and fried, greasy foods seem to aggrivate the problem. What's wierd is that I don't suffer from the bowel problems the 1st half of my cycle, just the 2nd half. If after the D&C you still continue to have GI problems, I would suggest talking to a gastro dr about what's going on. Good luck and keep us posted!!
