alta, my drs receptionist gave me a personal referal (she'd seen this doctor before) but my doctor was open to giving me a referral if needed but my current insurance does not require it. i think my doc. was glad i was going to pain mgmt. bc she really did not want to give me pain meds--i think it was a releif for her, the past couple years she had been giving me a very hard time jsut for taking vicodin and i reallly did not like it. she was saying bc i need it for pain that means im addicted--ridiculous. basically she was saying that taking a medicine you need is addiciton. OK then im addicted to food, sleep, water etc as well.

i think im going to call the dr and see if he'll give me morphine instead of avinza bc im scared of the sustained relese (esp. for 24 hours!) it seems every time i leave a drs office there is soemthing i did not get accomplished an dhave to clal or go back! uggh.

one thing i hate is having to go to the dr. every time to get my medicine (even if its the same thing as previous months), since refills are not allowed. it is time consuming and can get expensive too. is this what everyone has to do?
