Re: When should I start period??

I'm having the D&C due to heavy, irregular periods. I'll have a period for 2 days one month and the next few months I'll have very heavy bleeding. There is nothing predictable about them. I've also started passing very large clots. I know the clots are not abnormal or a cause of concern, but we're hoping that between the D&C and endometrial ablation that my bleeding will become very light or possibly stop altogether. I've tried b.c. pills and the patch but they all seem to make my pain worse. I've been on Lupron and Depo Provera and that's a road that I will never go down again. Right now I'm grasping at straws and trying to hold off on having a hysterectomy (I'm 30). However, if the bleeding does not get under control, a hysterectomy may be my only option. My pain always starts around the time of ovulation and will continue to about my 3rd day of my period. And I'm never in excruciating pain, I just ache and have twinges of pain in my lower abdomen. It's just miserable feeling like crap 1/2 of the month. On my last ultrasound it showed that I had several follicular cysts. I read somewhere that these cysts are normal and no cause for concern but it did state that when these cysts burst, the blood can cause irritation. I'm wondering if that's whats going on. I guess the lap will answer that question. I take Excedrin Migraine pills for my migraines. They contain the active ingrediants that are found in tylenol and motrin, so this helps with my pain. They kill two birds with one stone :-)..Sorry this is long. I appreciate your advice. Take care...B
