Re: QuestionsFrom: Alta (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed May 4 14:46:32 2005
I have been told by three different doctors in the St. Louis area to go to the emergency room if I am in the amount of pain I say I am. My husband and I are blown away. An emergency room is for people that need them, not for a doctor to send people he does not know how to deal with. I think it's a great idea to write our insurance company and medical board. I will be doing that. You really need to take charge of your care. Really be proactive, not reactive. If you do not feel you are getting what you should, move on. Call your medical doctor and discuss everything with them. See if they can help you and refer you to another gyno. Do it soon. I am near the end of a six week wait to see a new gyno. It's right before my period and I do not have anything to cope with the pain and it is the worst it has been in a long time. My medical doctor gave me darvocet but it isn't working. It is true, you need to prevent the pain before it gets bad.
