At Mon, 2 May 2005, Crystal wrote: No its not true!!! Drs seem to think that when pregnant that you should not have endo sypmtoms...mine told me that but WRONG! I just had my son 3/31/05, I have stage 4 endo and had problems with pain thoughout my pregnancy. A few times it hurt so bad that I fell to the floor. Now I can say my son is fine so it did not affect him. With me I have endo that has my uterus attached to my bowel so as my uterus grew and moved up in my abdomen, well you can just imagine the adhesions being stretched and how it would feel. I can tell you that you are not crazy! My dr tried to tell me my whole pregnancy that it was not endo causing my pain. Well I know what my endo pain feels like so I knew I was right. I ended up having a c-section (was induced and did not progress). The dr who did my c-section before we went in I told him that I have a ton on endo in there and I was concerned about him having trouble with the c-section. He told me "oh endo on the uterus is usually on the bottom and is not in the way. Fast forward to during the surgery, I hear him say that endo is everywhere and he can see a place on my uterus where and adhesion had riped off my uterus. I told him that I guess it was the endo causing my pain. He agreed. And my c-section took longer than normal because of endo. It did not take longer to get my son out....it took longer to do everything after he was born.
I feel for you with the pain. Please hang in there and remember in the
end you will have a little miracle. Oh and percocet, vicodin are safe
in pregnancy if you need them. I would try to get a script for those
extra bad days.
