elevated fsh one year after lap

Has anyone experienced an elevated fsh level after a lap for endo? I was diagnosed with stage IV last year, when I was 30 years old. I had cysts removed from both ovaries along with excision of the other endo. The doctor told us that there was a chance we could conceive naturally.

It took me a long time to feel better. My day 2-3 fsh levels before the surgery were normal (7.5 and 5.8) although I had the ovarian cysts. A year later the endo seems to be back once again. I have a cyst on at least one of my ovaries. My fsh had not been checked since the surgery. Now, a year later, it is at 13, which is almost double my previous levels!

My doctor thinks we should have another lap to remove the endo, and then my fsh levels might improve before we proceed with any agressive fertility treatment. I am very worried about straining my ovaries even further. Besides, my levels were lowest when I actually had the cysts last year!

It has taken me months to start feeling better, and I believe that the elevated fsh is caused by the damage I suffered in the surgery. Has anyone else experienced ovarian damage after a lap, with elevated fsh levels? I really feel that another surgery could damage the ovaries further, risking the possibilty of a future pregnancy.

Any advice is appreciated.....
